The good deed of a Burger King fast-food worker is going viral thanks to his proud mom. Michelle Resendez posted on Facebook about her son Matthew’s random act of kindness while he was at work at Burger King and the post is warming the hearts of hundreds of thousands of social media users.
According to the post, a homeless man entered the store and asked Matthew at the register what .50 cents could buy him. Realizing the poor man’s situation, Matthew then used his own debit card to purchase the man a meal and told him to “relax and take a seat.”
But Matthew’s good deed didn’t go unnoticed. A woman who had apparently seen what happened later gave Matthew a hearty tip and wrote to the company about how good an employee they had.
It just goes to show that kindness spreads, and Resendez is super proud to be his mom.
“So proud to be his mom and I can pat myself on the back knowing that I’ve played a part in raising this big hearted (sic) young man,” she wrote.
