Perhaps a child’s imagination should stay in their heads. This father thinks otherwise though.
A man took his 6-year-old son’s drawings and transformed them, via Photoshop, into absurdly real creations, even updating an Instagram full of them.
Tom Curtis treasures not only his son Dominic’s doodles, but every child’s art because he believes their innocent attempts at trying to understand and draw out the world are seriously undervalued and awesome.
Dominic in particular draws a lot and his masterpieces range from a butterfly hovering over a garden to a rocket ship flying into space.
With the help of Photoshop, Curtis takes his son’s drawings and recreates them in real-life renderings by rearranging to match his son’s visions.
“The original premise wasn’t that I took Dominic’s drawings and showed what they might look like in real life,” Curtis told Huffington Post U.K. “Instead the idea is about imagining a world in which kids’ drawings are accurate and the things they draw are real. It’s just us silly adults that don’t see them because we’re not looking hard enough.”
Check out some of this insanity:
One of these elephants is not like the other…
Animals aren’t the only things unsafe from this kid’s wild imagination.
If it wasn’t for the realistic adaptation, that giraffe could be construed quite salaciously.
And that’s enough internet for the day.
If you’re unsatisfied or unfazed by that last monstrosity, check out more on the dad and son’s Instagram account Things I Have Drawn.
