It would appear that American delivery people aren’t the only ones encountering interesting surprises.
In Belfast, Northern Ireland, an ill woman requested cold medicine with her takeout order at a fish and chips and pizza shop called Feeleys on December 30.
And her unusual request — and a picture of the humorous receipt — has gone viral.
“Will you please stop in Spar on the way and get me Benylin cold & flu tablets and I’ll give you the money, only ordering food so I can get the tablets I’m dying sick xx,” was written in the “add comments” section of the peculiar delivery order for a pizza.
Feeleys told Your Daily Dish, “We have never had a request this strange before, but a few have came through the last few days!!!”
And they totally came through! Fiona Cuffe, the customer (who apparently is quite the regular), had her request fulfilled.
“Cheers boys hahaha,” she wrote, as well as “Ahahaha yours are wee angels will do x.”
Feelys will reportedly offer her a free meal when she gets well.
As for the attention, Feeleys told Your Daily Dish, “The amount of media attention has honestly gobsmacked us. We never expected such a response. Customer service is our number one priority and we are only happy to oblige where its possible.”
You heard it here first, folks! If you’re ever feeling under the weather and also craving fish, chips or a pizza (or all three), then don’t hesitate to give a shout to Feeleys — that is, if you live in Belfast. If not — looking at you, Americans — you’re out of luck.
