Family Miraculously Resuscitates Kitten They Found Frozen in Snow
They say humans can have near-death experiences. Often it’s dramatically explained as seeing a bright light. But what if animals can have them too? That’s certainly what would have happened when one family found a frozen kitten in the snow and miraculously brought the young cat back to life.
Meet the Binghams, a large family of seven. Like millions of families across America, they were gearing up for a happy Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends at a rented lake house. While playing outside in the snow that morning, Brendan Bingham’s oldest daughter found the body of a lifeless kitten. Most of the family thought for sure it was dead, but Bingham’s brother thought otherwise. While the kitten certainly was lifeless and its body limp, he noticed the body wasn’t stiff. Was there a chance the kitten could survive? The brother scooped the kitten up and ran inside.
Using gloves and bringing the kitten to the fireplace, the brother warmed the kitten’s body and pumped on its chest in an attempt at CPR. After a while, the family lost all hope, fearing that he really was gone without any chance of coming back. Bingham’s brother, however, refused to give up on the frozen kitten.
For over an hour the brother continued to warm the cat and perform CPR until finally, the little guy opened his eyes.
Despite the odds, the kitten survived and the family eventually adopted him, naming him Lazarus after the Biblical character who’s brought back to life. It wasn’t a Christmas miracle, but a Thanksgiving miracle was close enough.
