Guns N’ Roses Classic Line-Up Reuniting for Coachella – Reports
Axl Rose and Slash are to hit the stage together for the first time in over 20 years as part of a 2016 Guns N’ Roses reunion.
The last show Axl and Slash played together was in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1993.
Coachella boss Paul Tollett and AEG executives, who will operate the new Las Vegas Arena, have yet to make an official announcement about the reports surrounding the reunion shows, but the news comes days after rock fans were given major hints about a Slash/Axl Rose get together.
A cryptic update to the band’s website suggested something was brewing, and then movie fans attending screenings of Star Wars: The Force Awakens were treated to footage of a concert crowd with the group’s music playing in the background as part of the pre-film festivities.
A Guns N’ Roses classic line-up reunion has been rumored for years, and last month Motley Crue star Nikki Sixx told fans the original bandmates were indeed reuniting for a world tour.
Hosting a question-and-answer session on Twitter, the bassist told fans “everybody knows” about the tour plans, suggesting it was one of the worst-kept secrets in music.
