Harrison Ford Surprises Fans At ‘Star Wars’ Screening
Harrison Ford watched a 10-minute preview of the new Star Wars film with unsuspecting fans at a screening in Sydney, Australia, according to a report.
The veteran actor, who plays Han Solo in the new movie, managed to sit in the audience at the Sydney Opera House on Saturday without being spotted by any of the Star Wars fans who were engrossed in the footage.
Editors at Australian site Bmag.com report that at the end of the screening, Ford stood up and told the surprised audience to keep their lips sealed about the movie’s plot.
“At the conclusion of 10 breakneck minutes of footage from the notoriously secretive film, Ford stood up out of his seat,” the report states. “As if by magic, a spotlight hit the actor, who promised the audience that there was plenty more where that came from, and asked us to keep our lips sealed.”
Ford told the fans, “Let’s make a deal – don’t tell your friends what you’ve seen here today.”
Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, will be released in the U.K. on December 17 and in the U.S. and the rest of the world on December 18. The movie takes place 30 years after the events of the 1983 film Return of the Jedi, and also stars Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.
