Have You Met Mieps, the Guinea Pig so Photogenic It Must Be Magic?

This little fur ball blows ridiculously photogenic runner out of the water.

Mieps isn’t your standard guinea pig. She, unlike most pets, can sit still and even pose while her owner’s assortment of photoshoots featuring the cute rodent in different outfits and scenes.

It is no wonder owner and photographer Marloes van Antwerpen calls Mieps “ridiculously photogenic,” just look at her go/fly.

Antwerpen says in her blog post that these photos are taken in her backyard or DIY studio.

Before the final product is achieved, however, she does in fact throw some Photoshop “magic” onto each image.

The props aren’t Photoshopped though, she finds them at budget stores, flea markets or secondhand stores.

The books and tea cups found in many of the images, for example, were discovered during her and her father’s Sunday “treasure hunts.”

“If you want to start taking photos of your pet, please be patient with them,” advises Antwerpen. “Just go with the flow, they cannot possibly know what you want from him or her. Earn their trust, the result will be that they trust you. I hope that is what shines through in my photos.”
