Hiker Stumbles on Eerie ‘Missing Persons’ Scene in Long Island Woods

Fake or not, this is one scary part of the woods.
On a hike through a forest in Long Island, NY, a man came across and recorded a section of trees covered with “MISSING” signs containing real-life people and their disappearance cases, all different and equally frightening.
“Who the f**k does something like this?” questions the man who goes by “Dateline420” on YouTube in the almost-13-minute video he titled, “Creepy S**t in the Woods, Part 1 of 2.” (Yes that’s right, there’s two parts.)
In the video, he finds a quiet spot of a cluster of trees littered with posters featuring cases of people who disappeared. Among the dozens of signs, some were solved, others were not, each one was different, and all were real.
One in particular, titled “MISSING SINCE JAN. 24, 2006 ORLANDO, FL,” had a picture of a woman on it named Jennifer Kesse.
Kesse genuinely dissappeared back in 2006, a case which captured national press attention. She has not been found since and there is even a website dedicated to her.
“I might die,” sort-of-joked the hiker in the video.
In addition to the signs, the horror-movie-like scene also had a blanket with a can of food on it. What a waste of perfectly warm blanket and perfectly good food.
And there was also a structure of sticks which kind of looked like a cage.
Perhaps it was once a cage but has since been dismantled. Or, broken out of by a once contained victim?
“Oh s**t, I heard voices,” said the guy, seemingly scared yet holding a knife. “We have to get the f**k out of here.”
After he “escaped” the “dangerous” situation, he notified police who contacted the property owner.
Apparently the property owner said they were just Halloween decorations, which is oddly disgusting if someone is actually exploiting horrible cases of missing people and their likely-still-grieving families for a cheap Halloween gag.
Check out New York Post’s bearable rendition of Dateline420’s “Creepy S**t in the Woods, Part 1”. Fair warning, there is a lot of graphic language.
And for those itching for more, here is the original.
And here’s part 2!
Who knows, Creepy S**t in the Woods might be coming to a theater near you real soon.
