It’s Red Nose Day in the USA!

Happy first ever USA Red Nose Day!  Yup thats right… it’s red nose day and loads of celebs are sporting these shiny red clown noses in support of the cause.  What is this day devoted to red noses all about you ask?

Well Red Nose Day is a campaign dedicated to raising money for poverty-stricken children by simply having fun and making people laugh. It was originally started in Britain in 1988 in efforts to raise money to help children living in some of the poorest communities around the world.

This year the campaign has finally extended to the USA and people across the country will come together for fun, fundraising and awareness.  The goal is to laugh of course, but at the same time raise money to keep children safe, educated and healthy!  The day will end with a three-hour star-studded NBC special hosted by Seth Meyers, David Duchovny and Jane Krakowski.  The line up is set to include comedians, musicians, original sketch comedy, hilarious parodies and amazing musical performances featuring some of the biggest names in entertainment!
