Jimmy Kimmel Had Staff Members Read Texts From Their Moms and the Results Are Hilarious

Jimmy Kimmel is known for making countless celebrities read mean tweets about themselves, but in honor of Mother’s Day he turned to having people read their mom’s text messages.

Kimmel went around his office and asked his staff members to read the odd and hilarious text they have received from their mothers. Kimmel wanted to honor the mothers who “leave us long voicemails and send us nonsensical text messages.”

The messages range from the classic “explain yourself” to the “why haven’t you called” texts. Some staff members shared some pictures they were lucky enough to receive, while others gave us a little TMI about their lives. One even shared his mother’s adventure using the microphone to send a text.

Along with the classic texts were the ones that just could not be explained. One staff member gave a glimpse into his mother’s life sharing, “I am out with a woman who dated for a long time Donald Trump,” the text said. “This is her dog.”
