This Cat’s Trip to The Groomer Yielded a Hilarious New Look
Everyone in the world receives a bad haircut at one point or another. Usually, some clever styling or a return trip to the salon solves the problem. But for a cat named Jin Jin, it wasn’t that easy to fix.
Jin Jin, a Persian cat with a full thick coat, is normally brought to a groomer every few months for a nice shave that would leave him with a bushy face and tale combo reminiscent of a lion. His owner, Xie Qian Qian, does this to reduce the amount of hair and dander in the house.
However, Qian was unable to bring Jin Jin to the groomer for his most recent appointment. He entrusted a friend to bring him, and that’s where an apparent miscommunication cropped up. Instead of giving Jin Jin his normal shear, the groomer decided to do something… different.
The cat’s new look was shocking — with all the hair on his body completely sheared, except for his face. This made Jin Jin look less like a cat and more like a four-legged creature wearing a halloween mask that vaguely resembled a cat.
Qian and her husband were initially angry about Jin Jin’s new look, but they quickly appreciated the humor in it. They soon posted funny photos of the cat online. Almost immediately, the photos of the cat went viral.
Eventually, a meme battle broke out leading to some hilarious takes on the cat’s new look.
How Jin Jin Is Doing Now.
As for the cat himself, he has regrown his hair. According to his owner, he has taken the whole experience in stride.
“My cat is a very tame and good cat,” she told The Dodo.
