John Cusack Granted Restraining Order Against ‘Black Magic’ Fan
High Fidelity star John Cusack has been granted a restraining order against an obsessed fan.
The movie star claimed Marieretno Subali showed up at his house uninvited on numerous occasions and threatened to perform black magic on him – and he’s a little freaked out.
Cusack is convinced Subali is monitoring his travel plans on social media, and he fears she’ll be waiting for him one day when he gets home.
The actor claims she has reached out to members of his family as well, sending creepy emails to his sister-in-law.
In one correspondence, she says Cusack came to her in a dream, according to the star.
In another Subali threatened to perform a “black candle spell on him,” which, according to her, would make him impotent, reports TMZ.
A judge has granted Cusack the restraining order and ordered Subali to stay at least 100 yards away from the actor, his brother and sister-in-law.
It’s not Cusack’s first run-in with an obsessed fan. Back in 2013, Elizabeth Pahlke was taken into custody on his property with the arrest taking place after a temporary restraining order was brought against her, restricting the woman from coming anywhere near the actor.
He revealed she had been hounding him with emails, letters, and voicemails for years, telling him angels told her she and Cusack were supposed to be together.
Police were called to his home in Los Angeles when Pahlke hand-delivered a letter and then waited for Cusack, following him as he left the property.
In his restraining order request documents, the actor stated Pahlke “claims that the angels told her that we were together in a previous life, and that she needs to be with me now in order for me to remember how special she was to me.”
