Diners at Goldies Coffee House in Melbourne, Australia, got quite the morning pick-me-up when a young kangaroo decided it, too, wanted a bite of breakfast.
According to Helping Hands Animal Rescue, the confused patron-roo made its way through the shopping center and into the cafe where it became trapped and couldn’t find a way out.
Customers and staff quickly exited the the cafe and called the rescue. The young male roo was named Goldie and was apparently “a great talker,” according to the rescue’s Facebook post.
Police kept passers-by away while a volunteer attempted to “blanket” the little guy, which is just what it sounds like. However, Goldie did have some minor injuries from crashing into the windows trying to escape, including a split lip and minor toenail wear.
The rescue writes, “He was happily released by Wildcare volunteer Robyn to a safe area back to his family mob, and I’m sure was greatful (sic) not to be lost anymore!”
