Kehlani Back Home and ‘Healthy’ After Suicide Attempt
R&B singer Kehlani has thanked fans for their support following her attempted suicide drama on Monday.
The “Do I” star was admitted to a Los Angeles area hospital this week and reportedly placed on a psychiatric hold after trying to end her life. Her suicide bid occurred hours after she was attacked on social media for appearing to have cheated on her boyfriend, basketball star Kyrie Irving.
After her medical emergency, she returned to Instagram to clear up the unfounded claims, explaining she had recently split from Cleveland Cavaliers player Irving, who she had been linked to since late 2015, and had subsequently reunited with her ex, PartyNextDoor.
“Today I wanted to leave this earth,” she posted beside a photo of herself in a hospital bed, with an intravenous tube in her arm. “Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I’d get to such a low point. But.. Don’t believe the blogs you read .. No one was cheated on and I’m not a bad person… Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding…
“But as of today, I had no single wish to see tomorrow… But God saved me for a reason, and for that… I must be grateful… Cuz (sic) I’m not in heaven right now for a reason…”
Her original posts have since been deleted, but late on Tuesday, she shared a photo of a flower on Instagram and expressed her gratitude for fans’ well wishes, after devotees began spreading the hashtag #StayStrongKehlani on Twitter.
“Thank you for the love,” she captioned the image, before revealing she had been discharged from hospital. “Everyone’s fighting things people know nothing about. Healthy, home, and with people who love me. Thank you for all support (sic).”
The flower post has now also been removed from Kehlani’s social media page, reports AllHipHop.
News of the singer’s update emerges shortly after Chris Brown appeared to take aim at the 20-year-old in a Twitter rant, accusing her of faking her health emergency to stir up interest on Instagram.
There is no attempting suicide. Stop flexing for the gram. Doing shit for sympathy so them comments under your pics don't look so bad

Kehlani has yet to respond to Brown’s accusations.
