Leah Remini: ‘Jennifer Lopez’s Kiss With Marc Anthony Was Innocent’

Jennifer Lopez’s recent onstage kiss with ex-husband Marc Anthony had nothing to do with the salsa star’s split from his fourth wife, according to actress Leah Remini.
The “Waiting For Tonight” hitmaker and her ex sent fans wild at the Latin Grammy Awards on November 17 when they briefly embraced and kissed, after Lopez presented him with the Person of the Year Award at the Las Vegas ceremony.
The following day, it emerged Anthony had separated from his wife Shannon De Lima after two years of marriage, and rumors suggested his passionate onstage reunion with Lopez had prompted the model to call it quits.
However, J.Lo’s best friend Remini has shut down the speculation, insisting Anthony and De Lima had already parted ways before the headline-grabbing performance.
Remini was quizzed about the gossip during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday night and she took it upon herself to clear up the unfounded claims.
Asked if Lopez’s kiss with Anthony had anything to do with his marriage split, the actress replied, “Absolutely not, that is not the reason. Marc’s separation had happened already, clearly way before that.”
Remini then offered up her thoughts on the headline-grabbing stage appearance.
“I thought it was an innocent kiss between two parents and two friends,” she explained. “I love them onstage together, and I love that they still perform (together).”
Lopez and Anthony, who share eight-year-old twins Max and Emme, have remained close since calling time on their marriage in 2011, and they are currently working together on Lopez’s new Spanish-language album.
