Looks like Leo wasn’t the only big winner on Oscar night.
Thanks to Chris Rock’s sketch during the Academy Awards, a Girl Scout troop from New York is using Leonardo DiCaprio to help sell their Girl Scout Cookies.
DiCaprio purchased a box of Trefoils during the awards ceremony where Rock encouraged the audience to buy the infamous cookies to help out his daughter’s troop.
The Girl Scouts of Suffolk County saw an opportunity and created a genius marketing campaign thanks to DiCaprio’s purchase. The troop combined DiCaprio’s Trefoils moment with the “Be Like Bill” meme.

The creative poster shows a picture of the Academy Award winner snacking on his cookies with the message: “This is Leo. Leo wants an Oscar. Leo buys Girl Scout Cookies at the awards. Leo wins an Oscar. Leo is smart. Be like Leo. Buy Girl Scout Cookies.”
The official Girl Scout Cookie Facebook page shared the clever poster on Monday and it has since gone viral. The Girl Scout troop told ABC News that they came up with the idea after seeing the awards ceremony.
“We thought the photo was funny and would help make people buy cookies,” the troop shared. “We saw the Academy Awards and thought it would be a good idea if we could do something like that.”
So far the poster has been a success. Many people have stopped to look at the poster and even take a picture with it.
“It made people stop at the table to read the sign, and then we were able to ask them to buy cookies. It’s hard to say no to a Girl Scout,” the troop said.
Well, it’s hard to say no to those cookies too.
