When babies start crying on airplanes, most people just roll their eyes and count the minutes until landing. However, one man decided he could help.
A pregnant mother was seated on a plane from Minneapolis to Georgia when her baby began to cry. A man came up to her and offered to care for her baby so she could rest.
The man explained he was a father and proceeded to walk up and down the aisle with the child to calm him down. An account of the good deed, as well as a touching photo, was posted to Facebook page Love What Matters from passenger Angela Byrd.
“I was in tears,” Bryd wrote, “not because he was white and she was black…but because it showed me today that there are still GOOD (sic) people out there in a world full of turmoil.”
The post has since gone viral with over 30,000 shares, as of press time. Many of the over 3,700 comments show support for the mother and the man who helped as well as reveal their own stories of random acts of kindness from strangers.
This stranger’s good deed goes to show that even just a small helping hand can go a long way.
