Man Recreates Famous Romantic Movie Scenes With Dog as His Co-Star
Most people see a dog as a friendly companion, but one Chicago man saw a pup as a key to recreating iconic scenes from romantic films.
Chris Naka, an employee of the Blue Man Group Theatre Company, got the idea when his boss began bringing her dog Wrigley to work. Initially, he set up a version of the iconic “flying” scene from Titanic. Naka explained to Today how the project grew from there:
“We started taking the photos during the last five minutes of our lunch and it just took off from there. Someone printed a bunch of our early pictures, posted them in the green room, and folks from all over the theatre started sending emails with movie suggestions.”
The project now spans numerous decades of Hollywood history.
The earliest film adapted was the 1967 classic The Graduate. “Wrigley, are you trying to seduce me?”
Moving ahead two decades, Chris and Wrigley had the time of their lives mimicking Dirty Dancing.
The duo stayed in the 80’s by channelling their inner Molly Ringwald and Michael Schoeffling, circa 16 Candles.
However, Naka can’t be accused of living in the past. He’s adapted more modern films, including 2004’s The Notebook.
Who can forget the famous upside down kiss from Spider-Man?
In the end, Naka and Wrigley simply weren’t able to quit each other.
