Matt Damon Brings the Action in New ‘Jason Bourne’ Trailer

Jason Bourne is back!

Universal released a brand new trailer for Jason Bourne early Tuesday morning, proving the unpredictability of Jason Bourne is still fresh. The new trailer features Matt Damon returning as the action hero and super spy after taking a hiatus in the fourth film. In the fifth installment of the Bourne franchise, the action is at an all-time high.

After surviving a plunge into New York City’s East River, Bourne took a much-needed rest, basically putting himself into retirement. When a government hack “worse than Snowden” arises, Bourne is driven back in on the action. The former CIA operative must tackle a unique set of problems, eventually leading him on the ultimate car chase on the Las Vegas strip.

“Hopefully we can reassure our audience that what they’re seeing is an authentic Bourne movie with an authentic Bourne feel with the same character, but nine years later,” returning director Paul Greengrass shared with Entertainment Weekly. “You don’t make this kind of movie unless you think it can be a worthy successor.”

Alicia Vikander, Tommy Lee Jones, Julia Stiles, Vincent Cassel, and Riz Ahmed join Damon in this action packed adventure.
