Bedtime Routine for Spoiled Golden Begins Every Night With New Toy Carried Upstairs
Introducing Mojito, a Golden Retriever who has quite the toy collection.
The 3-year-old pup’s toy addiction comes from her owner, Kim Downie, who lets her pick out a new toy every time they visit the pet store.

“Mojito has tons of toys … way too many,” Downie shared with The Dodo. “She insists on picking one out every time we go to the store.”
Mojito, who recently became a therapy dog, spends most of her days lounging around with her toys. Every night Mojito follows a strict bedtime routine by picking up a toy from her collection to sleep with for the night.

“She does it when she has to go to bed early with me, almost like she needs a toy to keep her entertained,” Downie said. “She is very specific about what she chooses to take to bed. She will search the house and empty her toy boxes until she finds whatever one she is looking for.”

Downie began documenting Mojito’s toy choice, which has been going on for about a year and a half, every night in an Instagram account. The account quickly became popular and has already reached over 60,000 followers.
After bringing a new toy up for the night, the Golden Retriever chooses which toys get to stay upstairs the next morning, rather than bringing them all back down to join the rest of the collection.

“If we move them back downstairs, she will carry them right back up,” Downie explained.
Mojito has quite the collection of toys including stuffed animals and food.
