Melissa McCarthy Shows Off Weight Loss In Clothing Line Photoshoot

Emmy Award Winning actress Melissa McCarthy showed off her svelte new figure in a holiday themed photo shoot for her clothing brand this week. The festive shoot features McCarthy engaging in holiday activities including hanging ornaments, peaking through a wreath and posing with a group of other models with a Christmas tree all the while modeling clothing from her Seven7 line.

However, the biggest takeaway for fans of the actress may be the Ghostbusters star’s appearance, as McCarthy appears to have lost nearly fifty pounds over the past year. Her new look is visible in all the photos, perhaps none more so than the shot of her wrapped in a strand of Christmas lights.

McCarthy’s new look certainly hasn’t altered her views on body image nor begin accepting stereotypical views on women’s fashion. In fact attempting to change societal norms in relation to fashion and weight is a major cornerstone of McCarthy’s clothing line.

As she told More magazine earlier this year; “People don’t stop at size 12. I feel like there’s a big thing missing where you can’t dress to your mood above a certain number. Only wear solids? Don’t wear bright colors? That’s not real. Somebody made up these rules, and I disagree.”
