We have all experienced airport nightmares. Missing a flight is never fun, but when Mahshid Mazooji found herself stuck in Charlotte Douglas International Airport on Sept. 23 after missing her connecting flight, she turned the annoying experience into a happy dance party.
Mazooji created a music video which featured her busting a move with airport personnel — and other stranded passengers — to pass the time away. She posted the video, entitled “All Night Long At The Airport,” to her YouTube page. The video is played to Lionel Richie’s 1983 hit “All Night Long.”
The dance video has gone viral, with well over 1 million views and 12,000 shares to date.
Mazooji wrote, “I missed my connecting flight in Charlotte, and I didn’t want to sit in anger all night long, so instead I did what makes me happiest…DANCE!!!! Oh, and I made some really great friends along the way! Thank you for dancing your troubles away with me!!! :)”
In the video, Mazooji wiggles over to an airport security employee as the familiar beats of Richie’s song begin and engages him in a bump and grind. There’s no doubt she’s got the moves down: She even featured an impressive moonwalk.
Next, she is seen getting funky with a Starbucks barista.
Another airport worker gets a solo showing of her twerking skills.
She also boogies with fellow passengers who are waiting for their flights.
Airport security seemed a bit lax, as she even managed to get attendants away from their post for a Macarena line dance.
