New Indiana Jones Movie Confirmed
Lucasfilm Confirms ‘Indiana Jones 5’ Is Happening
After much speculation, it turns out Indiana Jones 5 is happening.
As part of their June Star Wars cover story, Vanity Fair spoke to Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy, who confirmed that a relaunch of Indiana Jones is on the cards with Lucasfilm at the reigns.
Kennedy was the executive producer on all four of Steven Spielberg’s previous Indiana Jones films, so we can be pretty sure that if a fifth instalment does come, it will be in safe hands.
This is what the Vanity Fair had to say:
In buying the company, Disney also got rights, for better or worse, to less-storied Lucasfilm properties, among them Willow and Radioland Murders.
A bigger prize is the Indiana Jones franchise. Kennedy confirmed rumors that another Indy movie ‘will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I’m not quite sure. We haven’t started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it.’
Chris Pratt is currently rumoured to be the man taking over from Harrison Ford, after having a pretty big year in films such as Guardians Of The Galaxy and Jurassic World.
However, with nothing yet confirmed, we’re holding on to hopes that Harrison Ford will have one last ride in his classic fedora.
