In Newest ‘Logan’ Trailer, Down-and-Out Wolverine Finds Some Purpose
On Thursday, 20th Century Fox released the latest look at the third installment of the hit superhero franchise, Wolverine.
Reteaming Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart from the X-Men movie franchise, Logan takes place in the near future where the two mutant heroes have aged considerably. When Logan/Wolverine comes across a young girl being chased by a group of mercenaries, attempts to escape his past catch up with him and he discovers the young girl has secrets eerily similar to Logan’s mysterious past. Logan stars Jackman and Stewart, along with Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Doris Morgado, Eriq La Salle, and Dafne Keen as the young mutant, X-23.
Jackman has previously stated this will be his last time in the role of Wolverine, which he has played in eight other movies (including two cameos) since 2000’s X-Men.
Logan hits theaters on March 3.
