New ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Teaser Reveals New Lightsaber
Get your lightsabers ready. The anticipation for the new Star Wars sequel has been mind-blowing and this morning Lucasfilm gave us another preview snippet.
Via Star Wars’ Instagram account, the movie studio dropped a new 15-second video with previously unreleased footage.

The new footage shows Finn, played by John Boyega, wielding a blue lightsaber against Sith villain Kylo Ren and his red lightsaber in a wooded area. Rey (Daisy Ridley) and BB-8 make quick appearances, as well as the Armies of the First Order. The video is captioned with the film’s signature promotional line, “There has been an awakening…”
The new movie takes place 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. Luke Skywalker, his sister Leia, Han Solo, and Chewie are all set to return.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters December 18, 2015.
