Tired of the same old desserts? This quick and easy no-bake chocolate mug cake recipe is the answer to your sweet-tooth prayers.
On the Hungry Elephant YouTube channel, run by a former news writer and producer, they lay out the steps to put this delicious-looking dessert in your belly – ASAP. All in all, the writer says the recipe can be whipped up in about 15 to 20 minutes, and then just 30 minutes in the fridge to chill before serving.
What you’ll need:
- Boxed Jell-O pudding
- Milk
- Mascarpone cheese
- Whipping cream
- Vanilla
- Sugar
- Sponge cake
- Cool Whip or Reddi-wip
According to the tutorial, mix the mascarpone cheese, whipping cream, vanilla, and sugar together with your trusty blender. In a separate bowl, mix the Jell-O with the milk.
Once those are ready, cut your sponge to fit your cups. Add a layer of cake, then pudding, then more cake, then a layer of the mascarpone whip. Add another layer of sponge cake and top it off with one last layer of pudding. Place the mugs in the fridge for 30 minutes for the pudding to set. Remove and add a layer of Cool Whip or Reddi-wip. And finally, enjoy!
