The man behind the artwork for three of Oasis‘s albums has stunned fans with a tape full of unreleased music by the band.
Brian Cannon posted a photo of a cassette from 1995 on social media on Sunday, claiming it features a song Noel and Liam Gallagher recorded that was never made public.
The tape also includes versions of the band’s hit “Wonderwall” and Noel Gallagher chatting to his bandmates during a recording studio session, according to Cannon, who designed the covers for the group’s Definitely Maybe, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?, and Be Here Now albums.
The news of the new tape came on the same day director Matt Whitecross debuted the first trailer from his new Oasis documentary, Supersonic, at Festival No. 6 on Sunday night.
Noel Gallagher topped the bill at the Welsh festival and was joined onstage by pal Paul Weller for a tribute to the latter’s old band The Jam.
The former Oasis guitarist and Weller performed renditions of “Pretty Green” and “Town Called Malice.”
