When Don Chernoff’s golden retriever kept breaking its prosthetic limb, Chernoff decided to take things into his own hands and just run with it.

Sunny, the golden, had to have his paw amputated because of a tumor. He received a prosthetic as a replacement, but broke the metal foot and chewed through the Velcro straps holding it together.

So, Chernoff decided to make Sunny a better prosthetic – using an old Nike tennis shoe.

Chernoff used parts of the shoe for the foot and duct tape to hold the original prosthetic together.

“Now, he gets around just fine,” Chernoff writes in the video.

Watch the happy golden frolic in the snow thanks to his new paw and clever owner!
