Proof There Are Only Two Types of Kids on the First Day of School
Well, like a flash, the summer has whipped by and the end of August signals a return to school for millions of youngsters out there. For some kids, the day is a leap into a new, exciting school year they’ve eagerly been anticipating. For other children, they’re… well, they’re not so excited for it.
For one mom, her photo perfectly captures the dueling feelings most children have on their first day of school.
Traci Willis posted an image of her young kids to Imgur on Monday, captioning the photo, “There’s two types of kids on the first day of school.”
Willis told Today in an email that her daughter was excited about her first day of kindergarten, while her son was “very nervous” about heading to preschool.
“He was not having that,” Willis said in an email. “That is when he just decided to lay down on the floor and cry.”
For most parents, the perfectly captioned photo is a reminder of the yearly struggle to get their kids back to school and that we’re not the only ones living through that dreaded tantrum.
