Hamilton, Ontario’s, Godfrey Cuotto spent the entirety of his 30 minute bus ride comforting the overwhelmed Robert, a deaf stranger with cerebral palsy.
The Facebook page, “Only In Hamilton,” shared a photo of the two with the caption:
“I didn’t know if u can post this but I would liking to say thank you to the guy who was seating beside a special needs gentleman… He allowed him to hold his hand and find comfort well in a packed bus.. It make my day when I see stuff like that.”

The 22-year-old McMaster student was on his way home when Robert approached him from the front of the packed bus, and asked to shake his hand. At first, Cuotto said that he thought he was being pranked, until he realized that the stranger has special needs, and was not letting go of his hand.
“I just allowed it, like what am I going to do?” Cuotto said. “Sometimes you just have to be selfless and put someone else’s needs above yours.”
The post has now become the Facebook photo of the moment, showing the huge impact a random act of kindness can make.
