Well, somebody really loves their Dukes of Hazzard.
In weird, wild news of the day, the driver of a red Ford Mustang ended up in a rather perilous situation on Monday when their car wound up on the roof of a suburban Michigan home.
According to witnesses, the car had been traveling roughly 60 MPH on Interstate 69 in Shiawassee County, Michigan, when the driver lost control, crashed through bushes and a fence before coming to a stop on the roof of a home that abuts the hill behind it. Do they have decent roof parking rates in Michigan?
Joyce Kingsley, 83, who owns the home, said it was quite a loud “kaboom!” Uh, we’d say.
Luckily, nobody was seriously injured.
The driver of the vehicle, alone in the car, was treated for low blood sugar after being transported to a local hospital, Michigan State Police reported.
Damage to the roof was not severe and Ms. Kingsley plans to just throw a tarp over it until it can be repaired. Ain’t nothin’ to it.
“It could have been much worse,” said Kingsley. “I’m glad everyone is all right.”
