Restaurant Employee Gets Huge Surprise After His Kind Gesture Is Caught on Camera
Being kind is usually a reward within itself, but when one man’s gesture was caught on camera, he never expected what would happen next.
Kailen Young is a 17-year-old Hardee’s employee. One day, David Yardley was visiting the restaurant and saw Young outside washing windows when an elderly woman walked by. According to a post on Love What Matters credited to Yardley, the elderly woman was “having a hard time on her feet. She was trying to make it to her car.”
Yardley said that’s when Young stopped what he was doing and “offered his arm.” Yardley, touched by the moment, snapped a quick photo to share. Then the incredible happened.
According to the story, Hardee’s caught wind of Young’s kindness and “recognized him with a $1,000 bonus.”
Young is reportedly in college and using the money toward his Engineering major.
It seems he’s at least teaching many people that kindness can spread in ways we can never imagine.
