Sofia Vergara And Joe Manganiello Wed
Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello are married after tying the knot during a star-studded ceremony in Florida on Sunday.
The Modern Family star and Magic Mike actor exchanged vows in front of 400 family and friends at the luxury The Breakers resort in West Palm Beach.
Vergara was walked down the aisle by Manolo, her 23-year-old son from her first marriage to her teenage sweetheart Joe Gonzalez. They divorced in 1993 after just two years as husband and wife.
The Colombian beauty reportedly wore a custom wedding gown by one of her favorite red carpet designers, Zuhair Murad, while Manganiello sported a John Varvatos tuxedo for the ceremony, and in lieu of gifts, the couple asked guests to donate to either the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital.
Among the guests to witness the couple’s nuptials were Vergara’s Modern Family co-stars, including Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ed O’Neill, Eric Stonestreet, Sarah Hyland, Ty Burrell and Ariel Winter, while others included Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan Tatum, Reese Witherspoon, Matt Bomer, Paul Reubens, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein and his fashion designer wife Georgina Chapman.
According to Entertainment Tonight, guests were asked to check their cell phones and cameras at the door before entering the wedding ceremony, but for the pre-wedding celebration on Saturday, there was no shortage of photographs and videos shared on social media.
Vergara, Manganiello, and their guests took to Instagram and Twitter to post their favorite moments from the cocktail and dessert party, which featured a performance by Colombian singer Jorge Celedon. The former True Blood actor even got up on stage to serenade his bride-to-be with a rendition of Guns N’ Roses classic “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”
The newlyweds became engaged in December during a romantic vacation in Hawaii after a whirlwind romance.
