A New Orleans teen applying for a job at fast food company Popeyes just got the job in the most amazing way possible. It pretty much puts the rest of us to shame.
During his interview, you see, a man by the name of Pablo Ciscart attempted to rob the restaurant, and job applicant Devin Washington was basically Superman and saved the day.
It all started when Ciscart asked the cashier to make change for a dollar. Then, suddenly, Ciscart grabbed some cash from the register and attempted to flee out the front door. Assistant manager Dominique Griffin grabbed the robber’s arm, but he was able to break free and head for the door. Then, manager Danyanna Metoyer jumped in front of the door blocking his escape. However, the large robber thought she was no match for him as he attempted to push her out of the way, but that’s when Washington came out of the shadows and caught Ciscart in a hold from behind, apprehending him.
Ciscart gave up and dropped the cash.
According to WPTZ News, Ciscart admitted to the crime when police came. He was taken to central lockup and booked for simple robbery and fugitive attachment.
Washington, obviously, got the job. In fact, the managers had already decided to hire him before the robbery occurred, according to Seventeen.com. It was only after the incident that they had the chance to tell him, “You’re hired. You’ve earned it.”
