The Punisher, Elektra Revealed In First ‘Daredevil’ Season 2 Trailer

Over the weekend at New York Comic Con, some fans were treated to the premiere of the first look at season two of Marvel and Netflix’s hit superhero series, Daredevil.

Feeling the inevitable, that a low quality version of the trailer would leak online (which it did), Netflix released the full digital version of the trailer early Monday morning.

The two minute trailer is mostly a look back at season 1, catching viewers up on much of the action through voiceovers, but after the one minute mark, scenes from the upcoming second season are revealed, along with two very brief, but very pivotal looks at two major characters from the Marvel Comics character’s storied past.

The first we see is Elektra (Elodie Yung), a love interest of Daredevil/Matt Murdock, who also happens to be an assassin. The second is of the gun-toting vigilante, anti-hero, The Punisher (Jon Bernthal), who has historically sparred with Daredevil at times, and others teamed-up with the “devil” of New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen. Will The Punisher be on the side of our hero, or a proverbial thorn in his side?

We’ll know when season 2 of Daredevil hits the streaming service next spring.
