Tyrese Gibson Celebrating ‘Miracle’ As Mother Recovers In Hospital
Singer and actor Tyrese Gibson has had his faith in God renewed after doctors declared his sick mother is no longer in critical condition.
The Furious 7 star’s mom Priscilla was hospitalized last week with an undisclosed illness, prompting Gibson to ask fans to pray for her wellbeing.
“Praying over every breath she takes,” he wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of himself by his mother’s hospital bedside, holding her hand. “Our family needs you like never before… Our beloved mother – she’s all we have… #PrayerWarriors we welcome your most sincere prayers…”
Reports suggested Priscilla had been on a ventilator in a Los Angeles hospital, but on Monday, Gibson revealed her condition had improved and she is now out of the danger zone.
“I have the best news ever to share…,” he wrote on Instagram, alongside a snap of Priscilla’s hospital wristband, which featured the name “Super Woman.” “I’ve witnessed the power and loving presence of GOD!!!! My Mother is no longer in critical condition… Glory be thy name the lord Jesus Christ is real… I’ve literally witnessed a miracle… We appreciate your prayers and outpouring of LOVE!!!!!! I’ve never had a doubt in my heart that God was real… But it can ONLY be the power of the lord Jesus Christ that pulled her through… They took the tubes out, took her off of… the breathing machines and today for the first time in 8 days me and my mother [sic] TALKED… Her first words were ‘Hi Son’.”
Gibson went on to promise his mom a special night out at the Grammy Awards in February, adding, “My mother… will be my date to the GRAMMYs – to God be ALL the glory…”
