Watch Barack Obama Recap His Presidency by Slow Jamming With Jimmy Fallon

It’s hard to believe Barack Obama’s eight-year term is finally coming to an end. There’s only several months left before America will elect the next leader of the free world and in January they will be sworn in.

So, Thursday night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, soon-to-be former President Barack Obama did a little recap of his term. Of course, Fallon and Obama decided to do it in the form of a song, specifically, a slow jam.

As soon as the beat drops, Obama wastes no time reciting the ways he and his presidency were able to turn things around, from the state of the economy to legalizing gay marriage.

And Fallon obviously chimes in with expected innuendos.

“Oh yeah, President Obama stimulating long-term growth,” he says. “In both the public and the private sector.”

Obviously, Obama’s slow jam wouldn’t be complete without a quick dance sesh to Rihanna’s “Work.”

But Obama quickly brings it back home with a dig at presidential candidate Donald Trump and a nod to his favorite show, Orange Is Not the New Black.

The president also took shots at Trump during another segment on Fallon’s show called “Thank You Notes,” where he thanked his supporters for some of his accomplishments, including his “Yes We Can” 2008 campaign, and incidentally thanked Questlove’s hairstylist.

But the major kicker was when he “thanked” Congress.

“Thank you, Congress, for spending eight years wishing you could replace me with a Republican. Or, to put it another way,” he said as a picture of Trump appeared in the background. “How do you like me now?”
