Watch This Book-Crazy Baby Burst Into Tears Every Time Mom Finishes the Story

There are few parenting clichés better known than reading a bedtime story to a child. The image of a mom or dad reading to their child only for the child to demand another story has been so ingrained in pop culture that it’s sometimes easy to forget that it’s not just something that happens in movies. However, a viral video recently updated to YouTube shows that it’s all too real, and all too cute.

In the video, a very young boy only identified as Emmett listens insistently to a story his mother his reading. However as soon as she says the words, “The End,” the boy breaks into tears.

The unnamed mother’s knowing smile seems to indicate that she’s seen this before. She begins reading the story a second time, and young Emmett immediately stops crying. That is, until she finishes reading it again, and the waterworks start once again.

The video next moves into a montage, clearly taken on different days and times, where young Emmett breaks down in tears at the end of the story every single time.

If this video is any indication, baby Emmett is going to grow up to be a big reader, though one would hope he lessens his level of emotional investment a tid bit.
