Wedding Company Creates Spectacular Light-Up Cakes for Your Special Day

A wedding cake is arguably the best part of any wedding. Not just the eating part, but the planning and tasting as well. If you’re one of those who meticulously pins every ornate cake idea to your Pinterest board, you’ll be delighted to discover now cakes can actually light up.

The idea comes from Disney Weddings, because why wouldn’t you want to have your wedding at Disney World?  This is the stuff dreams are made of, people.

But how can a cake possibly light up? Is it edible? Yes and yes.

The cake actually doesn’t light up at all. What it is, is projection mapping. This allows you to “tell your story on your cake,” according to the Disney website. You can project home videos, slideshows, quotes, or just cool designs onto the cake. Of course, the cake needs to be white, but you still get to customize the inside with fillings and flavors.

This cake is currently only part of the Wishes Collection offered by Disney weddings.
