After a shooting took place during a screening of her movie Trainwreck, Amy Schumer has made it her priority to be outspoken about gun control in the United States.

In response to the current gun debates and the Orlando shooting, Schumer released a cut sketch from her show, Inside Amy Schumer, highlighting the ridiculousness of the laws and the “helplessness of shooting victims,” shared Politico.

The sketch features a spin on the classic lawyer commercials on TV.

“Have you ever been injured in a mass shooting or other gun crime? Do you want justice?” H. Jon Benjamin (Archer, Bob’s Burgers), as the lawyer, asks. “Hi, I’m Toby Shrak of the law firm of Shrak and Murphy, but don’t call me, because there’s nothing I can do.”

Shooting victims then come on-screen and recount their helpless and failed encounters for aid.

“I tried to sue the manufacturers of a hollow-tip bullet that was designed to inflict as much pain as possible, but current law makes it impossible to sue for damages. I even had to pay the ammo company’s legal costs,” one victim shares.

The sketch was originally supposed to air during the “Welcome to the Gun Show” episode, but was cut for time. Schumer felt it was important to share, especially after last week’s mass shooting. Schumer has been very outspoken about gun violence in the past addressing the topic during her show (see sketch below), on SNL, and during a trip to Congress.

“I am sickened by the cowardice of these people who are supposed to lead us,” Schumer shared with Politico. “Their dedication seems to be only to dollar signs for their own pockets. In November, we will remember who stood with the gun lobby, rather than their constituents, as we mourned for Orlando.”

Last summer a gunman opened fire during a showing of Schumer’s comedy, Trainwreck, killing two people and himself. Since then her campaign for gun safety has been at an all-time high.

“Unless something is done and done soon, dangerous people will continue to get their hands on guns,” Schumer said. “The critics scoff and say, ‘Well, there’s no way to stop crazy people from doing crazy things,’ but they’re wrong. There is a way to stop them. Preventing dangerous people from getting guns is very possible. We have common-sense solutions.”
