Mexican Politician Takes Protest of Donald Trump’s Border Wall to New Heights

Mexican politician Braulio Guerra, a representative in his country’s Chamber of Deputies, successfully protested Donald Trump’s controversial immigration policies last week in a very viral way.
On March 2, the representative from Queretaro posted a Twitter video of himself sitting on top of a thirty foot fence that separates the U.S. from Tijuana, Mexico. In the clip, Braulio Guerra says in Spanish,“I was able to scale it, climb it, and sit myself right here. It would be simple for me to jump into the United States, which shows that it is unnecessary and totally absurd to build a wall… It shows how unnecessary this project, this political rhetoric from Donald Trump, is.” as are the financials. Trump has repeatedly said Mexico will “pay” for the wall, which the country has denied at every turn. In reality, Americans could be the ones paying for Trump’s border wall. And as Guerra showed, a wall is not a practical way to protect the country.
