Some parents just get it. In a world where women are often forced to have to keep up socially with men, seeing a father reciting what, on the surface, seems like an adorable pep talk, is so powerful.

With a few simple, yet strong, statements, Ron Alston swells his daughter Aliya’s self-esteem and self-worth, and the smile on her face is evident of how she feels while she says the words.

Check out the awesome video:

“I am strong. I am smart. I am beautiful. I am respectful. I am amazing. I am great,” says Alston as his daughter repeats after him.

The pep talk he gives little Aliya serves as a mantra that will not doubt strengthen her as an individual as she grows up. We can assume this is a morning ritual for them, as he teaches her about individuality and belief in oneself.

“If you fall?” Ron asks.

“I get back up,” Aliyah responds.

And after watching this video (which has received over 64,000 shares on Facebook), we found ourselves reciting the mantra with them. Great job, Ron!
