This 111-Year-Old Gives Whisky All the Credit for Her Long Life

This 111-year old woman might have just found the secret to living a long life. For the past 58 years, Grace Jones has enjoyed a shot of Scotch whisky before heading to bed. Jones gives all the credit for her longevity and sharp mind to her unusual nighttime routine.

“She’s been doing it for 58 years,” Deidre McCarthy, Jones’ 79-year-old daughter, told Inside Edition. “She swears by it.”

For her 111^th celebration, Jones went to back-to-back parties.

“She had a wonderful party on Saturday, followed by a lovely party on Sunday,” McCarthy said to Inside Edition. “When I said, ‘How are you, mother?’ she said, ‘Full of beans.'”

Jones hasn’t let her age slow her down one bit. After losing her husband 31 years ago, she refused to give up on life. She still has an incredibly upbeat personality and keeps up with the fashion world.

“She always looks nice no matter when you go over,” McCarthy told Inside Edition. “She loves beautiful things.”

Jones was always interested in fashion and had a millinery business before she was married. At the store, she would make hats and similar items of clothing.

Jones’ positive outlook on life is what inspires McCarthy every single day.

“She doesn’t worry. She’s always said, ‘Worry doesn’t do you any good at all,’’’ McCarthy told Inside Edition.

It seems like Jones has found the secret to happiness and longevity!
