Meet Ollie, a Three-Legged Puppy Who Is About to Melt Your Heart

Talk about a cuteness overload!

Introducing Ollie, an adorable golden retriever who was born with only three legs. Ollie was also born as the 12^th puppy in a litter that was originally supposed to be 11 puppies.

“He was the surprise,” Alex Widmer, Ollie’s owner, shared with BuzzFeed News.

Widmer posted a video of Ollie adorably learning how to go up the stairs and it was quick to go viral. Check it out below.

“We have this larger step in our back door, and I’ve been filming him, waiting for him to jump over it, and he would never do it,” Widmer shared. “And all of a sudden he did it one day.”

For Widmer, Ollie holds a special place in his heart. According to BuzzFeed, Widmer and “his wife’s passion for helping children with disabilities was what inspired them to adopt Ollie.”

“To see him overcome these challenges is sweet,” he explained.

One day Widmer hopes to see Ollie become a service dog so he can help others.

“I know that means something to somebody in the world,” he said. “He lets people touch him and hold him, and he loves it. I love that he melts in your arms.”

Widmer also shared that Ollie doesn’t let his disability slow him down.

“Not to put a pun on it, but his life is kind of just going one step at a time,” Widmer said.
