On Friday, Netflix and Marvel Entertainment released a teaser trailer for its upcoming series, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, a spin-off series from the hugely popular Daredevil series.

Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad) plays a female superhero who’s given up her cape to become a private detective in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen area, but her investigations get her pulled back into the world of super powers and strange activity.

The short, international teaser gives us our first glimpse to Jones’ powers as she crushes her (very dated) alarm clock.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones is the second in a five-part series event that includes Daredevil, Jones, as well as the superheroes Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Once all four characters have their own limited, 13-episode series, they will team up for an Avengers-like event in The Defenders.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones will premiere exclusively on the streaming service with 13, one-hour episodes on November 20.
