On Saturday, New York’s Central Park played host to a number of the world’s top performing artists to help raise awareness to “take action on the world’s biggest challenges.”

The Global Citizen Festival took place Saturday with live performances from headlining bands Coldplay, Pearl Jam, Beyonce, and Ed Sheeran, and included plenty of special guest performances and appearances by Leonardo DiCaprio, Ariana Grande, actress Kerry Washington, Sophia Bush, U2’s Bono, Jay Z, Usher, Sesame Street’s Big Bird, and many more.

From the website:

“Global Citizen is a community of people like you. People who want to learn about and take action on the world’s biggest challenges—and use their power to get other people involved too.

“We bring you stories and actions that make a difference. That help fight extreme poverty and inequality around the world, and support approaches that will make life more sustainable for people and the planet.”

According to the website, bystanders can help raise money and awareness for a number of social issues affecting individuals here in the U.S. and abroad, including “Girls & Women,” “Women,” “Education,” “Finance & Innovation,” and many more. To learn more, head on over to the website now.
