No More Adventures for Popular Animated Series ‘Adventure Time’ After 2018

Cult animated series Adventure Time is to end in 2018 after nine seasons.

The quirky Cartoon Network kids show about the exploits of Finn the human and Jake the dog in the Land of Ooo, premiered in 2010 and quickly became a hit among children and adults alike.

Adventure Time has picked up six Emmy Awards, two BAFTAs and a Peabody over the course of its run.

The show is currently in its seventh season and a feature film is in development.

This is the second cancellation of a long-running Cartoon Network series in as many weeks – network bosses recently announced that another cult hit, Regular Show, will end in 2017 after its eighth season.
