Another New Yorker has heroically saved a stranger in a life-threatening situation.

Pavel Fesyuk of Rochester, New York was driving the truck for his company, Town and Country Pest Solutions, when he witnessed a man hunched over his car on January 10.

The man was choking — several cars drove by without stopping to help — but it was Fesyuk who stepped in to save him, and the whole incident was captured on dash cam. Fesyuk, a former contestant on American Ninja Warrior, took immediate action.

“I kind of saw, as he was hunched over, there was no one in the driver [seat],” Fesyuk told ABC News. “So I’m like, that has to be the driver.”

Once he realized what was happening, he jumped out of his car and — after some trial pats on the back — performed the Heimlich maneuver on the choking man to save his life.

And a couple of thrusts later, he swallowed whatever he was choking on and regained his breath.

Calling this rescue an act of kindness by a good samaritan is an understatement — he’s a hero!
