You never know when you could be making a huge difference in someone’s life.
Jeff Louis, a delivery driver from Gionino’s Pizza in Mentor, Ohio, was simply doing his job when he was overwhelmed with kindness. Louis was making a typical delivery to the Life Point Church in Mentor, but was shocked when the members of the congregation lined up and began to give him a huge tip.
The 22-year-old was so inspired, he filmed an impromptu reaction video outside of the church. Later he posted that video to his YouTube channel, which has now reached nearly 700,000 views.
Pastor Ken Wright of Life Point had the generous idea to give the driver a meaningful tip.
“Yeah, I just thought lets tip him $100. It’s the holiday season,” Wright told WKYC.com. “You know it was spontaneous. It just happened. They started lining up one by one with their own cash tips.”
Louis got very emotional and choked up when recalling the events on his YouTube page. For Louis, who is in the midst of drug recovery, it was more than a bighearted tip; it gave him faith to keep going and stay on track. When all was said and done, the church congregation had given him over $700.
“It really truly amazes me that people who don’t even know me just wanted to help me out that much,” Louis shared on his reaction video.
Louis closed up the video with one word describing this random act of kindness, saying simply, “Blessed.”
