Even Hillary Clinton Needs to Take Breaks From Reality by Looking at Cat GIFs

Through all the divisive, doom-and-gloom rhetoric during the 2016 presidential election, moments of levity are all the more welcome. When those moments include cats, well, we’re not going to be able to resist.

On Thursday during a campaign stop in San Francisco, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton said Republican Donald Trump’s lewd remarks, like the ones he made to Billy Bush in 2005, make her want to “unplug the internet or just look at cat GIFs.”

“But it’s more than just the way he degrades women,” Clinton begins in video footage from the fundraiser. “As horrible as that is. He has attacked immigrants, African Americans, Latinos, people with disabilities, POWs, Muslims and it is… and our military, which he’s called a disaster. There’s hardly any part of America that he has not targeted.”

We’ve heard this stump speech. C’mon, get to the cats!

“Now, it makes you want to turn off the news,” continued Clinton. “It makes you want to unplug the internet or just look at cat GIFs. Believe me, I get it. In the last few weeks, I’ve watched a lot of cats do a lot of weird and interesting things.”

Clinton added that she’s the only candidate in this race who cares about your cat.

“But we have a job to do, and it’ll be good for people and for cats,” said Clinton.

Well, that does it. Clinton is aligned with the cats, who everybody knows wants to take over the world. Guess the Republicans were right all along. Demo-cats 2016!!
